That doesn't apply to everywhere of course .. But from the things I hear from the people who actually live there..
Not exactly the best place to live in.

Yeah it depends on the area in Scarborough. It's very nice in my area, although I'm right on the border, closer to downtown (which is awesome) ^-^. But yeah, I love Scarborough! 19 years and counting

So strange... I don't know anything about East Toronto/Scarborough at all. I feel like I'm in foreign territory once I go a few blocks past Yonge St haha. I heard the Beaches are nice though.

I'm close to the Upper Beaches and Danforth Village.

It's nice. If there's anywhere I would want to live in Toronto, it's there. Or Ward's Island.

Yeah!! They have really cute houses on Ward's Island. It'd be really peaceful to live there.

I and three others who've posted in this thread went to Mayfield. I wasn't in the Arts stream because Mayfield was my home school. I took drama for four years there though.
A few of the people I know from Moofield have gone onto perform professionally (dancing, singing acting), but for the most part students who were in the performing arts programs didn't take classes related to their programs in post-grad. I'm not so sure about the visual arts students though; I know a few who are doing art-related things (magazine editing, interior design etc) but even then I don't know how many in total.
But we did have lots of people dancing and singing in the caf on the days our student council paid to have huge loud speakers and a CD player (theme days mostly I think?).
