HILLS around Hamilton
So today is perfect weather and I feel like hitting some slopes with all this fresh powder. Anyone know of a good place around here ? I remember they used to meet up behind Brandon Hall.

If you want a real ski hill, the nearest ones are Chicopee, Glen Eden, and Hockley Valley

I was just talking about this with my roommate... Never really seen hills around here, minus the mountain/escarpment. But I don't want a death by trees.
Any non-official ski hill place where I can just take a crazy carpet or something would be good.

I know about those already. I should have specified, hills as in random small hills not actual resorts.

Could go to closed ski hills such as Chedoke down on aberdeen, or the Red Hill Valley ski hill in the East end. Both are on the escarpment, cleared of trees.

if there is a tobogganing style hill within walking distance to mac it would likely be at coronation park which is near metro. Granted it might have seemed more impressive when I was 8 than it would now but I cant think of another hill in that area that isn't tree covered execpt maybe for princess point.

There's a big hill at Battlefield Park in Stoney Creek. I see people toboggan on it all the time, but I don't know if they technically "allow" it.

That sounds like a good spot for an epic snowball battle.

McQueston park (upper wentworth and linc) at the back where the park is is an amazing spot. Also, the hill on intersection of Garth and Stone Church (Y)
