  Recipe is my mom’s and I’ve never made it myself! But once again, my staple, microwaveable food for exam times. It’s good to make things yourself so that you know exactly what you’re eating, especially during stressful times when you need your nutrients. But enough about me, here’s the recipe… 
      
   
    
  As an aside, this recipe was dictated to me VERY VAGUELY… TT___TT 
    
  Filling 
(essentially, whatever you'd like to put into your pizza pockets; how much was not indicated) 
-pizza sauce 
-cheese 
-pepperoni  
-green/red bell peppers 
-mushrooms 
*add a little bit of flour into the mix (2 tbsp) 
---> mom says adding flour will make it less likely to burst-probably absorbs some of the moisture 
 
Dough: 
Ingredients: 
5 cups flour 
1/3-1/2 cup cooking oil (olive oil-is what she used) 
1/3 cup sugar 
2 tbsps baking powder 
2 tbsps yeast (or one small packet) 
1/2 tsp salt 
2.5-3 cups milk 
1 cup water 
 
Directions: 
1. Warm 2.5-3 cups of milk and 1/3 cups of sugar in pan until dissolved (on medium-low heat) 
2. Add 1 cup of warm water to dissolve 2 tbsps of yeast (takes about 7 minutes to dissolve it all) 
3. Mix 2 tbsps of baking powder and 5 cups of flour in a separate bowl 
4. Add sugared-milk and yeast-in-water to dry mixture 
5. Add 1/3-1/2 a cup of oil 
6. Add 1/2 tsp of salt 
7. Mix evenly 
8. Let dough rise in bottom rack of oven for 1 hour (no heat) 
9. Knead the dough for about 30 sec 
10. Shape dough to pocket shape (i.e. round/flat) 
----> my brother says to try to make the pocket thinner-tastes better; my mom says if its too thin the filling will come out 
11. Put in the filling and close 
 
Baking: 
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (about 5 minutes) 
2. Place pizza pockets on baking tray 
3. Bake for about 15 minutes 
      
   
   
  Also as an aside, I should tell you I’ve never attempted this recipe by myself; since I don’t like cooking with the oven too much. 
   
  And if you really wanted to you could easily make the pizza pockets Pillsbury© style by simply folding down the edges and shaping it; but really, why put in that extra effort =p 
  (I prefer the round ones anyway)
