Honours Biology Cutoff
Hi Everyone,
Just wondering what the cut-offs have been for the past several years for honours bio? On the Mac website, it says it was a 6.0, but I've heard from upper year students that the cut-off has been raised?

Thanks

Michael Scott

Last year, the cut off was around 8.5. It could be higher or lower this year, depending on the applicant pool.

The cut off was never as low as a 6, that was just the min requirement. Since its a limited enrollment program, its always higher (8.4 last year). The cutoff will depend on the demand for spots. Good luck!!

Most programs are 6 to be considered....but beyond that it all depends how many people apply vs how many spots. If they have 100 spots, and 400 people with above a 6 average apply, then only the top 100 GPAs will get in.

yeah it was around 8.5 or something last year. But usually they send out more acceptances than the allocated spots. And if there are more spots, you could get a later acceptance in july/aug.

There was a list of acceptance averages posted in bsb in the science academic advisors office around the time we were finding out the programs we got into.
