If one were to meet the requirements for honours 1st year, but then fail to meet the required cumulative average in the 2nd year, what happens? Do they simply just have to get their average back up?

Ummm...I actually have no idea. I would assume you could re-apply to an Honours program after third year.

Most likley, my friend did not make Honours Life sci, so she just had to "shadow: the program in second year as if she was in her honours and then re-apply for third year if her marks were good. I would go talk to an academic cousellor thought.
