I'm having a hard time waiting for the movie, tbh.

I'm nervous for this because I think it;s going the route of Twilight. The books are really dark and I hope they don't tone that down too much. From the trailer it looks like they'll focus a lot on character relationships which could go good or bad.

AHH it looks so good! Im like ten pages away from finishing the book... i dont want it to end!!

the new trailer just came out the other day. im actually really excited about this now.... plus near the end there is this scene which sort of hints at the next movie (well of course they would make the next movie i doubt they would just make the first book into on and leave it at that) but still pretty exciting.

also on a similar note, i really hope the movie lives up to the vivid descriptions and images which were brought forward in the book. i say this cus in the book their costumes during their reveal were described in a really enchanting and ???????? (awesome war like were ready for battle bring it on) way but in the trailer they dont look all that great.(but im hoping those arent their actual costumes)

The Super Bowl trailer (posted above) is pretty crummy. I'm super excited for the movie because I loved the first two books, but that trailer does nothing for the film. It makes it look so boring and sad. I get that they are trying to keep the arena stuff hush-hush, but still. That was nothing in comparison to the first full length trailer.

Chevalier - apparently their costumes for the tribute parade are as blah as they seem in the trailer. I was wondering about this too so I looked into it online, and I don't think they are adding any special effects to the costumes. :(

WTF thats retarded that was one of the best scenes in the book imo (or would have been in the movie) :( Katniss everdeen is FIRE that was the message that the costume confered without those its not as cool.

to be completely honest i hate it when they make really good books into movies cus that just ruins them so much. and this is mostly because in the movies they go for the showy action packed scenes and really highlight them. they leave out some of the more meaningful parts or just make them really lame even though they were the most exciting to read and imagine. so yea i guess im not all that surprised that they probably under-did the tribute ceremony parade.

I believe the outfit will be set on fire for the tribute parade.

The outfit that WON'T be special is from a different scene, but now I'm confused as to which one. Does she wear a green, jewelled dress on the book? Maybe towards the end? (at 0:37 in the trailer above) That's the one that won't be as extravagant in the book.

I think you're referring to the one which looks like it's on fire when she spins? Yeah, I'm kinda afraid for that.

i know what you mean ... i just might have to re read the book before i go see the movie.

and yea the flaming one was at the beginning during the parade (and that was the really good one)
i think the green was near the end but i dont remember it. but i do know the outfit they wore into the game was greenish, and it was more sleek than the one they have in the movie. i hope they bring Cinna visions to life though, and im really looking forward to how they portray the capitol people, especially since they were described so outrageously (in a good and funny way) in the book

I think they're doing the Capitol people justice - I read somewhere about this extra on the set, and he said that the fashions were REALLY outrageous. Just look at Effie!

No offense to any of the book fans, but this trailer does suck.

I would only watch this if it gets good ratings.

I have hear great things about the books, I hope the movie is just as good!

I started reading the books over reading week, and I just bought Mockingjay today. I can't wait to see how the book ends. This is a really great series, and I can't wait for the movie to come out. Hopefully it will stay close to the book!
