I'm very, very sure they're going to butcher the movie. With a PG-13 rating, it's impossible to keep all the violence and killing. It wasn't just violence for the sake of violence; and without the violence, it's close to impossible to stir up the intense emotions brought on by the book, or just do the book justice with respect to what it was trying to accomplish.

I'm really, really, really excited for the movie. I have great hopes for it, and I'm just...I really hope they DON'T butcher it. I thought that most of the violence would be fine with the PG-13 rating, but I just realized that they can't keep the last death true to the book if thirteen year olds can see it. e____e I don't LIKE seeing gore, but that last bit is what truly brings out how utterly inhuman the Capitol is, and if that person is recognizable, it won't be nearly the same.

IT IS AMAZING.

I saw it on Saturday, and everything was perfect. I just loved it. There were a few changes from the books, of course, but the essence of the book, that was captured perfectly. Loved it. In fact, I really really want to see it again. xD

Well, the original material is always better. But I enjoyed the movie immensely. All those scenes on the big screen, it was amazing! Especially inside the arena.

Sister said it was a really good movie (her friend fell asleep), so I'm going to assume this movie is 'meh', since her taste in movies is usually crappy.

^LOL, I know right? Especially about Rue, it's mentioned several times, and VERY clearly. Cinna was a surprise, but I've actually really warmed to the idea. Movie!Cinna can't be anyone else, though I still like to think of my first impression of Cinna when I'm reading the books (they bleed into each other).

The movie was SOOOO good. Holy shit. I was literally reliving reading this book from three years ago. It sticks to the book SO WELL (except for the ending), I am for SURE going to see this movie again before it leaves theatres!
