Yeah I have the same problem. Now I have no choice but to have 8:30 classes and 1 hour breaks in between classes almost everyday.:crying_anim :

I think for some reason Mcmaster always starts classes on thursday after the labour day. This is only my second year at Mac, so correct me if I'm wrong.

Ugh! That's horrible! But I'd go with the 1 hour breaks than having to wake up at 8:30 >.<, you'd just get too tired! Best of Luck though! And hey you can always postpone one of your courses till later !

It's retarded. Most people probably just skip the first Thursday and Friday anyway.

Actually I don't think most people would skip the first day of classes. Especially first years since they get to find out things about the course such as which textbooks/course materials they will be needing throughout the year.

Yeah, i agree. I would never think of skipping those first classes! They're the most anticipated ones anyway!

I know highschools start like, the Tuesday that week normally. I think Mac starts the Thursday as for more time to go to Welcome Week events, not sure though.

Also, you generally don't go to tutorials in the first week or so 'cause they haven't started.

Yeah, the prof will tell you what date tutorial for their class will start. Sometimes they don't start until the end of September, that's why going to class the first day is sort of important, although they usually post the course syllabus online.
