Important: Are you being forced to pay for Online Modules for your courses?
For this term have you been forced to purchase any online modules, such as mycomplab, mypsychlab, and myeconlab? These programs are illegal under the Ancillary Fee Protocol and cannot be charged to students! If you have been forced to purchase a program, comment on this thread or email [email protected] with the prof's name and the class course code.

To explain further the provincial protocol outlaws any online module students have to purchase since it has a mandatory impact on their grades, in other words you stand to lose marks should you choose not to buy it.

You can also report an instance this year where the software it is bundled with your new textbooks but anyone purchasing a used textbook is forced to buy the module separately.

However, if a professor offers an alternative grading scheme aka adding the weightage of that online module to your final exam instead (In the case of Aplia usually) then that unfortunately isn't contravening the provincial protocol.

Why should you care about this? University of Windsor announced that it will refund every single instance of such a violation: http://uwindsorlance.ca/2012/09/21/d...-student-fees/
