The
Indigenous Studies Department is hosting its year-end social on Monday April 5th from 5pm-8pm in Faculty Club. This event is open to everyone, and the department is encouraging everyone to attend.
There will be a Haudenosaunee drum and singers, an Anishinaabe drum and singers, and
Cherokee shell-shakers. There will also be a variety of social dances that everyone can participate in.
Dinner will be served at five, with the social starting at six. The social is free, and you are able to come and go as you please.
This is a great way for everyone to learn more about the Indigenous Studies Department at McMaster, the
McMaster First Nation's Student Association (MFNSA), and local Indigenous cultures; specifically the Haudenosaunee and Anishinaabe, both of which reside at Six Nations. Hope to see you there!
