Information letter for 2nd year program?
Hey,
I'm going into second year and I was just wondering if I would be recieving any sort of letter in the mail about the program I chose.
Thanks in advance!

I think so... I think it will come with your sticker for your student card. Check your Program & Course Summary through MUGSI, and there will be a 'print date' for your Confirmation letter. That's most likely the date it was sent. If it's not there yet, that means they haven't sent it yet.

You'll get the registration letter. It's up to you to know about the program you chose.

Are we getting a new student card or keeping original one?

You keep the same student card for all your years at McMaster. Unless if you lose it or break it of course, but you'll have to pay to replace it. I think it's 30$.

Not always, just say it doesn't swipe or (as in my case) the barcode is faded. They'll replace it for free.

I got mine replaced because I had lost it during exams, so i needed it right away, and I don't think they ever actually charged me for it.

Oh, that makes sense since it's technically not your fault. Time to find a really powerful magnet... Lol jks

I'm surprised they didn't like bill it to your student account or something. It's probably because you needed it asap and they wouldn't expect you to be carrying money around.
