This was an amazing movie. It was Tarantino at his best. I absolutely loved the abnormally long dialogues in the french farm house and in the tavern. The guy who played Hans Landa, or the "Jew Hunter" was definitely the highlight of the movie... despite portraying an incredibly deep evil, you really had no choice but to like him. I hope he wins an oscar for this.
It was enjoyable from start to finsih. Despite the fact that it was a 2.5 hour movie, I was disappointed when it ended for the sole reason that I was no longer watching it. You know a movie is good when you find yourself constantly thinking about it the day after you see it. Its been three days now and I still cant get this movie out of my head.
I havn't seen District 9 yet, but I would be shocked if it was better than Inglorious Basterds.

I haven't seen the movie yet, and I'm sure it probably is good, since it's Tarantino (although his last double feature wsa pretty sub-par by his standards)... but I highly doubt the movie is better than Pulp Fiction, True Romance, and Reservoir Dogs... Jackie Brown and Kill Bill were also really high quality, but not at the same iconic level the the prior three... maybe I'm wrong, but I really just don't see it
I'm planning on seeing it sometime this week though

District 9 is not better than Inglorious Basterds but its a different kind of movie anyways. It has a good story, its fun, sometimes sad, its good haha. And yes the lightning gun was cool, though I personally liked that other one which either used sound waves or condensed air to blow things up. And that lilttle kid alien was cute haha.

Isn't that sentence self contradicting?

Yes and no lol. Well its a different type of movie so you can't compare them directly so to speak but Inglorious Basterds is still better because it is a finer work.

LOL i loved Cloverfield. Even though the story wasn't so great. It felt really original to me, although alot people hated the motion sickness part of it, which I personally did not feel.

orly, haven't seen it yet. Now, is it really called Inglorious Basterds, or have I been spelling that wrong all along?
Sorry, it bugs me everytime it's on the front page.
