Apple Computer warned on Tuesday that some of its latest iPods have shipped with a Windows virus. The company said that a small number of video iPods made after Sept. 12 included the RavMonE virus. It said it has seen fewer than 25 reports of the problem, which it said does not affect other models of the media player, nor does it affect Macs.

I dont' think they did it on purpose.
They wouldn't lose their iPod reputation just to infect 20 or so windows machines.

so... how did they get the virus if it isn't supposed to affect macs... and how come it only went on 20 ipods and not hundreds?? Makes no sense to me, only explanation I see is that some workers played a little prank.

Chad 99.9% of the viruses don't affect Macs. This is why Macs are the BEST, though a little too expensive for me to get one

actually macs are not expensive. pc's seen to be cheap because their specs are lowered to attract costumers. i wouldn't pay a penny for an operating system that only gives me problems. you can get macs for as low as ~600 for mac minis. you know that your money is actually going to be worth the purchase because everything's just going work.

and for those infected ipods, that was just some workers that got away with it. and even for some reason if it was on purpose, which i don't really care, it just shows you that windows is made to suck your money on virus protection, spyware, addware all that other crap that you don't need.

haha ya. Well you gotta get the good quality stuff, which is very high price range. The lower end stuff isn't as good... small screen, etc. Mac Mini's don't come with the accessories like a monitor and keyboard do they? For $600 CAN? I dont think so.
