Landlord asks for posted date cheques
Is it normal that landlords asks tenants to give them copies of posted date cheques for future months?

My landlord asks for cheques from October to July cheques and he wants me to give the 10 cheques posted so he wouldn't need to come and get the cheque from me

Is it a normal request? Yes. Is it absolutely necessary for you to do it? No. You are not legally obligated to provide post-dated cheques.

"Although the landlord and tenant can agree that the rent will be paid by post-dated cheques or automatic payments (such as debits from a tenant’s account or by credit card), a landlord cannot require the tenant to pay by either of those methods."
