Congratulations on achieving an outstanding academic average. The Residence Admissions Office is pleased to inform you that if your admission average is 95% or higher for your program of study as of June 2nd, you will be guaranteed a single bed space in one of our 12 residence buildings.

Please note the following important information:

This offer guarantees you a single private room in one of our 12 residence buildings if you request it on your residence application. Please note - we are not able to guarantee a specific residence building.

In order to take advantage of this offer, you must do the following:
complete the online application, select your room preferences and submit your $600 deposit by 4 pm EST on June 2nd.
If you have already applied, but wish to update your choices, you may do so by logging into your application and making your changes.

If you prefer a choice other than a single, we will guarantee you the room type you select on your application (i.e. double, triple, bunk & loft, quad); we cannot guarantee the apartment or suite choices.

So yeah, if your average went up since the mid-terms and you now have over 95%, you'll get your first choice, as long as it stays that way.
Nice! Good work!

Les Prince is a great res. I was never placed in it although I had a friend who was. Rooms are spacious, non-communal washrooms are a pro, and its relatively new. Only con is the distance from the other facilities on campus.

Yeah the Les Prince distance thing is blown way out of proportion.

If you're in artsci then you'll be really close to Commons which is where artsci's have their chill out/study room. The campus isn't that big so you shouldn't have that much of a problem getting to classes, your farthest class will probably be like a 10 min walk tops, every res is closer to some classes and farther from others so you'll be fine!

I agree. I lived in LP last year and it took max 10 minutes to get to my class in JHE.

I'm sure there's 1-2 in other residences (I know there is one in Edwards, it used to be the RM's room but they moved that room to LP).

It shouldn't matter as long as your two applications are IDENTICAL (and I mean COMPLETELY identical).

If you have over a 95% it doesn't guarantee the exact room type you want, only if you want a single, double, triple bunk & loft, or quad. If you want an apartment, suite, or the ones with washrooms it's not a guarantee. Just something to keep in mind!
