All residences have a phone and service is included...the only thing that isn't is long-distance calling, but you can arrange for that yourself through Mac.

You can also get calling cards or even "online" calling cards like xpresscall.

It's on your phone when you move in, but shouldn't it also be somewhere in your residence portal? It's just a 5digit extension number.

it uses your microphone on your computer, so it depends on the quality of that, and your internet connection. mine worked pretty well =)
