Level II Honours Life Sci?
I'm a little confused. I realize that I need 30 units next year, but does that refer to 30 units of only Level II programs? For example, can I take an elective in second year such as Peace Studies 1A03, that will fill a requirement of 3 units of the "30 units" required?

Also it says:0-3 units from PHYSICS 1B03, 1L03 if not completed in Level I
Does that mean I can only take Physics 1B03 next year, and not 1BB3 as well (since I'm missing both)?

-Thanks

You can take any courses you want in any year, just as long you fulfill all the required courses (as indicated by the Course calendar) by the end of your fourth year for the Life Sciences degree.

30 units means 30 units towards completing your degree. If you check the undergrad calendar, it shows you the requirements of getting the Honours Life Sci degree. Peace Studies 1A03 would be counted towards one of your electives that you can take. Remember though, that there is a limit to the number of first year courses you can take.

For the Physics course, this means that you need to take Physics 1B03 by the end of your second year. If you took it in first year already, then the "0-3" goes to your electives (this is why electives are designated 30-36, because if you didn't take one of the bio's or one of the physics courses in 1st year, they would be taken out of your maximum possible elective units) Assuming you already took the two bio courses, you would have 33 units allotted for electives.

I hope that had some sort of coherence!

You should also note that you cannot take more than 48 level I units to fulfill your degree.

Honours Life Sci for 2009-2010
120 units total (Levels I to IV), of which no more than 48 units may be Level I

That means up to 48 units of level I can be counted towards your degree. Any additional units won't be.
