Library email notifications!
The library now offers email notifications for circulation notices (holds, overdues, etc)! We're saving trees - there will be no more print notifications.
For full details on this service (such as having notices sent to a non-Mac email), please visit

Didn't the library already send out e-mails when you had a book out that someone else wanted? Or maybe I'm confused and it was a letter that was sent out.

Excellent. People check their e-mail often, so it's a good way to send notifications.

Indeed. I found I'd get the notice in the mail AFTER the book was due.
