Life Sci 3DD3 issue
So i'm going into my fourth year but i just transferred into the Life Sci program a year ago. Because the whole program went through a makeover, there's a bunch of new courses that Life Sci students are required to take.
3 units LIFE SCI 2A03
9 units from LIFE SCI 2B03, 2C03, 2D03, 2EE3, 2F03, 2H03
6 units from LIFE SCI 3A03, 3B03, 3C03, 3DD3
I've taken Life sci 2C03 and 2D03. I'm planning to take Life Sci 2A03 and 2F03 in first semester next year.
I'm eligible to take Life Sci 3C03 and 3DD3 since I've done/will be doing the pre-requisites for those courses.
However, I just realized that 3DD3 is offered in first semester only and at that time, i would be taking the pre-reqs (2A03 and 2F03) for that course....Is there any way I could still take the course? Would the department allow me to take the course simultaneously with the pre-req courses? I don't want to have to graduate late for one course...

You may fill out a course waiver and submit it to [email protected]

As long as you are taking the prerequisite courses concurrently with your desired course, this waiver is applicable.

Make sure you check your degree audit to ensure you need to actually take those courses. I was in a similar situation last year and even though I transferred in to the program in my 3rd year, I was required to meet the requirements as though I transferred in to it in 2nd year (and I ended up not having to take the new courses). But if you transferred from a non-science program or another sci program, then maybe its different for you. In any case, I would recommend looking at degree audit! |
