Life Science I Math Questions
So I didn't take Calculus in Gr.12, does that mean I have to take Math 1F03 as one of my electives?

Also, which math is easier between 1A03 or 1LS3, they don't seem that much different from the description.

For some pharmacy schools they need a full year in calculus right, can I do this with either A03 or LS3?

im not sure math 1f03 will count as a full year of math. and yes, it will work with either the 1ls3 stream or 1a03 stream. one full year is math 1ls3 and 1lt3 or a03 and aa3. you dont need both maths done in first year just so you know.

Yes, either 1A03+1AA3 or 1LS3+1LT3. All of the course equivalents are on a document on the UofT pharmacy website, and Waterloo probably has something similar. As Silver previously stated, 1F03 does not count.

Ok thanks, any reason 1LS3 is easier? Or is it very slight difficulty difference

1LS3 is geared towards life science students and therefore has application type questions whereas 1A03 is geared towards math students (or students who wish to pursue upper level maths) and is a lot more theory.

Most life science students find 1LS3 easier because it's easier to solve problems when they can picture it where as picturing a bunch of numbers is a lot harder for them.
