Life Sciences 1 concerns
Hey, I was wondering if anybody can answer these question I have kind of ASAP

1) does Mac automatically look at your gr12 calc mark or no?? Will they just look at my eng, adv. functions, bio, chem, physics, kineseology instead??

2) I am interested in taking the astronomy course and I was wondering if others would reccomend it or say their thought about it in taking it.

Thanks

2) I am interested in taking the astronomy course and I was wondering if others would reccomend it or say their thought about it in taking it. Check the reviews tab up top for Astronomy 1F03, generally people seem to find it interesting but the course has a fair share of physics involved that catches some kids off guard

Thanks

1) No mac won't automatically look at your calc mark unless it is one of your top 6. it is not a mandatory course for Admission into Life Sci. however they will look at your Math, English, 1 or 2 of your top Science courses (can be either bio/chem/physic) and the other 2 grades will just be 2 of your Academic lvl courses with the highest marks all which have to be grade 12 courses.

2) i personally would love to take astronomy but i heard it is not a bird course and will require quite a bit of work from your part... apparently it has a lot of math involved. however if it is a course that interests here:http://registrar.mcmaster.ca /calen...nt/pg1891.html

Astronomy's pretty interesting, I would recommend taking it if you're interested in physics. Its not necessary though since its not really a prerequisite for any upper year courses http://registrar.mcmaster.ca /CALEN...nt/pg1891.html

It depends what you want them to look at your calc mark for...if you completed it prior to the end of June and it was submitted along with all your other marks, it should be on file, so if you need it to take a course that requires gr12 calc as a prereq, it shouldn't be a problem. They won't have looked at it for your admissions unless it was part of your top six.
