You dont want the master time timetable.
You want the undergrad calender:
http://registrar.mcmaster.ca /CALEN...nt/pg1490.html
but really, you can take whatever course you want, as long as you meet the pre-requisites.
You should be looking what you want to major in, and choose courses that allow you to get the pre-requisites to apply for the major you want in second year.

Welcome to Mac! First, go to the link that OP posted and read through what you need to take in first year (chem, bio, math, physics ect..) while keeping in mind what you want to do in second year. Then go to the master timetable and make a mock timetable and MI users can give you feedback... Good luck!

You shouldn't take both.
1LS3 is easier than 1A03. Both have their respective higher end courses (LS3 to LT3), and 1A03 to 1AA3.
If you do well enough in LS3, I believe you can jump to 1AA3.

cool thanks, i kinda figured it out when i was looking at the courses =P
one more question, PHYSICS 1L03 or 1B03? It says:
PHYSICS 1L03, which may be completed as an elective, serves as the prerequisite for PHYSICS 1B03 for those students who did not complete Grade 12 Physics U.
But i have done Grade12 Physics U so is it okay if i take 1L03? it seems easier...i hate waves XD

You can take 1L03 but a lot of second year programs (biopsych, physiology specialization, molec bio/genetics, biochem(I think?) etc...) need you to finish Physics 1B03 by the end of level II. Unless you don't mind doing in second year.

Yeah you could do that too. I was just saying that you could use the space for 1L03 for an elective instead. I took 1L03 and didn't feel like it prepared me for 1B03 in any way.

No you don't have to take it. Under Life Sci I it says something like 'X units from the Life Science course list' right? So you need to take that many units from the life sci course list. It can be any of those classes.

ummm so some of the stuff in Life Sci courses list are repeated in other parts. like it says 9 units from BIOLOGY 1A03, 1M03, PSYCH 1X03, 1XX3. and below that it says 9 units from Life Sciences I Course List (See Program Notes 2, 3, 4 and 5 above.) But in the course list it already has all of those..so can i just choose all the courses i wanna take from the course list?
P.S. this might sound a bit confusing =P

Well, 9 units out of 12 still leaves you with one of those four courses you don't need to take. If you want to take all four, the 4th course is on the Life Sci course list and counts as a credit from there instead of a random elective. You still have to take 3 of those 4 courses though, you can't replace them with others from the course list.
