This may have been extremely stupid of me to think but I was under the impression that we applied to 4 programs, were considered for all 4 and then in June or whenever you decided which one you would pursue for the following year.

I have now found out that you apply to 4 and if you get into your first choice, you are not considered for your second, third or fourth choices.

Can someone confirm which one of these is true?

Last year I was accepted into all four of my choices, and picked Physiology.

I think it is slightly different for Eng, though. But I'm assuming you're in Life Sci, like your sidebar says.
