Longboarding at Mac
I love longboarding because its such a fun way to get around. I plan on getting around from classes next year with my handy board and was wondering if anyone else is into boarding?

Longboards are huge, they get in the way once you're in class and you have to carry them around once you're inside a building. They're just way too much of a hassle to be used as a viable form of transportation.

Do you longboard personally? There are huge ones and there are also tiny ones. They are definitely a viable form of transportation.

nothing personal anthony but I HATE longboards. There big and awkward to carry and store (you can't really lock them), they are slow and hard to maneuver (compared to bikes), and I apologize in advance for this generalization/judgment, but all these kids at school are getting them and its this new fad at school thats replacing skateboarding. "O i can look cool and participate in the trend without having to practice and hurt myself". I'm sorry i'm just prejudice against longboards because of all these 9er scene kids and their longboards...

Fair enough, but I don't think you can really generalize about them until you have riden them. They are actually much faster then you would expect and most definitely easy to maneuver.

i've tried my friend's longboard before, and it is faster than i expected and pretty fun. i think it would be a major pain in the ass to use it as a way of getting to class, because in most rooms there is no place to put it.

Yeah that was the only downside I could think of. Storing it during class would be a pain, but I'm definitely bringing it because its a fun thing to do and its way more fun then walking.

ya atleast im on my first step. admitting i have a problem...i'm sure 80 percent of people with longboards aren't scene kids trying to be cool. Don't get me started on people playing music loudly on the bus...AND it always has to be the worst music (imo)
