I lost my bank card, please help!

I lost my CIBC bank card a few days ago and didn't notice until tonight when I went to the bank. I lost it at the machine in the student center, when you go down the stairs thing, what should I do? Will I ever find it? Would it be in the lost and found? I don't know what to do!!!!! :((((((((((( or did anyone find a card in the machine?? :(((

You should contact the bank and have them cancel your card/get you a new one.

I hope you at least took it out of the bank machine.. because a few months ago when I almost forgot mine in a mall ATM, I didn't log out, and anybody could have just hit widthdraw again and empty my bank account :( Don't remember how the campus ATMs work..hopefully they auto-log anyways.

Campus security would be where your card ended up if somebody didn't just take it for themselves.

If it was returned to lost and found, wouldn't campus security inform CIBC and that cascade into the cardholder getting a phone call from the bank?

or maybe I'm being too logical -_- lol

But yeah, call the bank -> tell them to cancel that card and mail you a new one -> ask them to read out past few transactions and withdrawals made from the account.

Best solution will be to call and cancel the card, then get a new one. There is a CIBC Branch in Westdale I believe?

Best of luck with that.

Don't ATMs usually force you to take your card before they dispense the cash?

I don't use them very often but that's how I remember them working :-/

Yeah, usually the card just pops out and the money comes afterwards

There's no need to freak out, just go to your closest CIBC location and they'll give you a new card on the spot and deactivate the old one.
