I dont' really know what I'm paying for...If entrance to the events are free (please correct that if I'm' wrong) then other than the swag bag, what is there access too?

Several events are not free to enter actually, such as the headline concerts and whatnot, that's mainly what it's for, along with the swag.

If you can afford and plan on going to welcome week I'd say it's a pretty useful thing to get.

Only a few events are free, like clubfest and airband. The macpass gives you all-access to everything though. edit: Here are last year's events to give you an idea: link

i bought one last year, but i didn't really use it much. it's only worth it if you make it to every event.

I won't be buying one, because I won't be at every event. xD

The main thing that you get access to is the headliner concert I think. But let's all be realistic, the mac-pass isn't just a "free access" pass, all of the events during welcome week require funding, a lot.

Don't skip out on it if you're in engineering. Just don't. And don't miss faculty day/night if you're in engineering either!

It depends if you want to go to everything. I bought one but found myself going to more of the free things than the paid ones.
