Paying tuition
When paying McMaster by cheque, do we mail it to them or drop it off? If mailing, where would i mail it to?

You can do either.

Quote:
Cheque/Money Order/Bank Draft
  • Please make your cheque payable to McMaster University
  • Always be sure to include your Name and your Student ID number on ALL payments
  • Payments by cheque do not require you to see a cashier, a convenient before or after-hours drop box is available outside the Student Accounts & Cashier's office (GH 209).
  • Although we do accept cash and debit in our office, GH 209, we recommed that you use another Payment Method.
  • Cheque/Money Order/Bank Draft payments made will not show on your Payment Agreement. These payments will show on your Account Statement (MUGSI / My Student Accounts and Cashiers / Account Statement) once your payment has been received and processed by the Student Accounts office. It's good practice to view your Account Statement to make sure that your payment has been received and applied toward your balance owing.

Can we pay by credit card? I'm not too sure if online banking is interac or credit card or both..
I thought I read somewhere that they take four different credit cards but I can't figure out what to do. Any help appreciated.

Online banking is paying a bill.

Interac is different, it's like when you debit to buy things when you shop.

Credit cards aren't accepted.

McMaster accepts 4 different banks for Interac: RBC, BMO, Scotiabank and TD

I paid my bill directly through my bank (BMO) about a week ago, but the "balance forward" part of my PA hasn't changed. Is it supposed to be like that?

You actually have to check your Account Statement.

Edit: Go to MUGSI -> My Student Accounts and Cashiers -> Account Statement.

Also, it may take a few business days for Mac to receive the payment and another few days to actually process the payment.

Oh okay, so if the "Payment Agreement Balance" is 0, we should be fine, right? And we don't have to necessarily pick up OSAP before September 1st?
