Mac security caught me with alcohol!!
So last night i was with friends and I had a cup of alcohol with me (i kno, it was a dumb thing to do). Also, im underage. We were crossing a street when the mac seurity car came out of no where. the constable saw the cup in my hand and asked wat it was, and i said alcohol. He asked where u drank and i said in my rez. then he asked how old i was and i said 18. In the end he wrote down my name and info and gave me a warning.
now wat happens from here? do i get a notification from mac about this? do i get fined or something? I have tried reading mcmaster alcohol policy but it has no info abt getting a warning. Please help!!

If he just gave you a warning, my assumption is he's not going to do anything about it?

Seems like the guy was letting you off for being honest. But, if your name comes up in the system again, a would-be warning will probably be upped.

It's just a warning.
In case you ever decide to be indiscreet about your behaviour again, he has your name and info down as a sort of "I've had my eye on you"

All of the above people are correct however....
If he catches you again, oh boy, you got some explaining to do!

I have an underage roommate who was caught downing crown royal like pepsi on campus and ended up threatening the special constables because they 'stole his backpack'. The backpack was later found in our fridge, his laptop was in the freezer. Despite this he didn't get fined but being seriously drunk underage will get you a major infraction, 3 of those gets you kicked out of rez. I take it since you were drinking within reason you only got a warning so no penalty will be issued against you, but if you are caught again they will most likely hand you a major. Also being caught with any illegal drugs is an automatic major, I know this because it was my roommate's 2nd major and I'm blackmailing him into cleaning up his messes with this fact.

I'm just gonna say that's it's really good that you were honest because he would've found out all that info about you anyway. It shows good character, and I agree that's probabaly why he let you off with a warning. I also agree that even though he let you off, your name is still in "the system," so you better not be caught doing it again. Looks like you really lucked out.

Next time down the contents of the cup (or spill it out). I've done it with real cops, so shouldn't be a problem with campus security.

well considering that they are peace officers and they can arrest you, plus they are sworn in by the "real" cops............
