Mac in a Snap Photo Contest

Via the McMaster Alumni Association

With the Mac in a Snap photo contest we want to see McMaster through the eyes of our alumni! Do you have an old photo of Mac that you love? Or have recently visited your alma mater and taken a great shot? Share them with Maroon Mail. All photos will be entered into a grand prize draw for an Epson Stylus NX215. This all all-in-one machine can print, copy and scan. With the Epson you can print stacks of borderless photos or make high quality scans of family photos and important documents. Be sure to get your entry in before August 17th for your chance to win.

MCMASTER ALUMNI ADVANCEMENT

ALUMNI CONTEST RULES AND REGULATIONS

ELIGIBILITY

This contest is being conducted by McMaster University’s Office of Alumni Advancement.
In order to be eligible for the contest, you must be an alumnus of McMaster University, eighteen (18) years of age or older. You are not eligible if you are (or you live or are living with) an employee, officer, director, representative, or agent of the Office of Alumni Advancement.

PRIZING

There is one prize to be won per monthly contest. The prize will change monthly. The prizes are not transferrable or convertible to cash and must be accepted as awarded. We reserve the right to substitute a gift certificate for the retail value of the prize as of the date of the draw.

HOW TO ENTER

McMaster University alumni, who enter the monthly Maroon Mail alumni contest, as defined in the Maroon Mail e-newsletter, will be automatically entered into the monthly contest. Only entries received during the month of the contest will be eligible for that month’s draw, and will be automatically entered. McMaster University alumni can enter as many times as they like.

No purchase necessary (see below for instructions on how to enter without completing the challenge at hand.)

The contest starts the day the newsletter is distributed and closes at midnight on the last day of the same month.

PRIZE DRAW:

A random draw for the grand prize will be completed by the Office of Alumni Advancement no longer than one (1) week following the close of the monthly contest. Once winners have been notified, the winner may be mentioned on a subsequent monthly Maroon Mail newsletter.

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY

To be entered into the above draw without completing the assigned activity, email your name, phone number(s), full mailing address, degree, graduation year and email address to [email protected], or send by regular mail to:

Office of University Advancement
McMaster University
Alumni House
1280 Main Street West
Hamilton, Ontario
L8S 4K1

Your no purchase entry must be received by the Office of Alumni Advancement on or before the last business day of the month for inclusion in the monthly Maroon Mail contest.

The Office of Alumni Advancement is not responsible for any errors or difficulties relating to such, including, without limitation, computer or other technical difficulties, and inaccurate entry of information.

The chance of being selected in the draw will depend on the number of eligible entries received.

Prize winners will be contacted by phone or email. If a selected entrant does not comply with these contest rules or cannot be contacted within seven (7) days of the draw, that entry will be declared void and another entry will be drawn. If a winner cannot use or chooses not to use the prize, that prize will be deemed forfeited and no substitution or other compensation will be awarded. The Office of Alumni Advancement will arrange for delivery of prizes to winners. A winner’s name, the fact that he/she is a winner of this contest, his/her city name, degree, graduation year, photo and/or likeness may be published i) in the Office of Alumni Advancement’s Maroon Mail e-newsletter, and ii) on the Office of Alumni Advancement’s website. Names of winners and the fact that they are winners of this contest may also be announced in other McMaster University materials.

OTHER RULES

All decisions respecting the contest and the awarding of prizes (including, without limitation, with respect to whether an entry is eligible) shall be made in the sole discretion of the Office of Alumni Advancement, and all such decisions shall be final and binding on all entrants, subject to the jurisdiction of the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Commission where applicable.

By submitting your photo, you hereby give The Office of Alumni Advancement the right to publish your photo on the McMaster Alumni Facebook Page (at URL: http://www.facebook.com/pages/McMast...1306687882063).

The Office of Alumni Advancement and their affiliates (including their respective successors and assigns), together with their respective employees, directors, officers, agents and representatives (collectively, the “Releasees”) shall not bear any liability for, or in connection with (a) contest entries that are lost, stolen, delayed, not received, destroyed, or illegible, incomplete or otherwise improperly completed, (b) any faulty electronic data transmission, equipment failure, or any other online communication problems, or any other difficulties of whatever nature in the administration of this contest; (c) damage to a user’s system; and (d) any property damage, personal injury, death, loss or misfortune in any way attributable to this contest (other than in connection with a breach of applicable privacy legislation), (i) entrants release the Releasees from all liability relating to or arising in connection with the contest, and (ii) agree not to make any claim against any of the Releasees, in respect of any matter relating to or arising in connection with the contest.

Each winner grants the Office of Alumni Advancement the right to use his/her name, the fact that he/she is a winner of this contest, his/her city name, degree, graduation year, photo and/or likeness, without further compensation, in advertising or publicity announcing the winner of the contest.

Without limiting any other provision of these contest rules, the Office of Alumni Advancement reserves the right to substitute any prize, or any part of a prize with one of equal or lesser value, without notice. Illegible, fraudulent or mutilated entries are void.
