its a shame they kept that 1280*800 resolution, can't justify the purchase

Macbook Pro 15" > Macbook Air 13" > Macbook Pro 13"

The Pro 13" finally has a modern processor but the screen resolution is still needlessly low and a Macbook Air 13" has a better screen and is more portable

The Pro 13" is in kind of a weird position

I disagree

I think Macbook Pro 13" > Macbook Air 13"

it has betters specs and the only reason people like the macbook air is because of how portable it is but i dont think its a lot better then macbook pro

It does have better specs, but unless you're doing high resolution 3D modelling, video editing, or some other processor heavy task the Air 13" will be more than enough to handle it (For most University students a $600 bargain bin laptop with a C2D is more than enough for their needs). The main reason for getting a Pro 13" over a Pro 15" would be portability and the Air 13" is a much better portable computer than the Pro 13".
