I'd vote for MacSecure. I don't know how safer it is compare to MacConnect (I suppose so, because it uses WPA connection), but I like it saves the password so you don't need to login every time.

if you use MacConnect with VPN its somewhat the same as MacSecure. But I heard that UTS is discontinuing the VPN Service..so my vote is MacSecure

When that firesheep thing first came out, it could be used over macconnect to acess other's people's shit (like facebook etc) but on macsecure it didn't work. So..mac secure.
