Same here! Or I get things late..... I use the Mail application for Mac and my sent messages don't get saved or something, that causes problems if I need the emails at a later time. :(

I dislike the layout. It took me a long time to find exactly where to go before I could set the inbox to show 1000 messages at a time instead of 30(default).

I think they just need to collect some of the stuff and make it easier to find instead of one small thing around huge boxes (which is why I couldn't find it for a while)

I find it super user-unfriendly too. That's why I forward all messages to my email account I usually check. But sending email with Mac Email is a pain. Does anyone know if we can use POP3 or some sort to remotely send email from Mac Email?

I'm used to it now because I've been using it for so many years, but I agree, I couldn't figure it out how to use it during first year. It's not very user friendly.

I forward the emails to my gmail account, and then change the "reply to" on my Gmail account to my Mac email. I also use Thunderbird/Outlook, because it's more user friendly.

My biggest problem with MUSS is that it has barely any space. I don't know how students are expected to use it for school work when they can barely send any files.
It's also hard to block emails. I get a bunch of spam, but instead of a "block this email address" button, you have to go to rules and choose some weird option and put the email address in a certain box .. It's very confusing.

Hmm... I see ur pts on how Macemail is lightweight or on using another email client.
Hwvr, I still think a little touchup, some color here, some renaming there (I mean, wth is 'purge'?), and a more intuitive layout would go a long way.

I agree completely. A better layed out UI would help, i woulnt say do something flashly like elm, as a fast lightweight app is better. Forwarding your emails to gmail works well, and you can get gmail to send email as your mcmaster account (and optionally logging into Muss servers and sending the mail automatically that way)...

just make sure you remember to update your password in gmail if you change your mugsi password!!! Gmail will NOT warn you that emails are failing to send out due to password error.
