Story on 900 CHML: http://www.900chml.com/Channels/Reg/...spx?ID=1670915

It's tough going for anyone trying to get into McMaster University or McMaster Children's Hospital.
Hamilton Police have closed Main Street from Cootes Drive to Dalewood this afternoon because of a major gas leak. A natural gas line caught fire after being hit by construction crews.

Homes and businesses in the area have been evacuated.

Union Gas is now being called upon to cap the leak.

There are no injuries.

The bus I was just on (5C, leaving campus) went around ABB and then up Cootes and Leland, then turned to get back to Emerson on Sussex, but since all traffic from Main St is currently taking this route it took a while and he said he would probably just continue all the way up Leland to Whitney next time.

You can catch the 52 at the next stop (in front of the pancake place, I think? Opposite Main at Leland).

That's all I know.

Chad says thanks to Faer for this post.

i didn't realize this happened until i went to my Geography class and read this on Facebook. That's probably why bus 10 was inside the campus when i was on my way to class...
