How many months in an academic year?
I'm applying for an award that requires the length of the academic year in months. I looked on Registar, but it said that the Fall and Winter terms were only 62 days (like two months), which doesn't make any sense to me since the fall term is September to December (four months).
Can someone help me clear up this confusion? Thanks in advance!

I think you're looking at the spring/summer terms that is 62 days each. The academic year consists of September to December, so 8 months.

The terms are 62 days because it only counts weekdays (M-F), since those are the days you actually go to class. 62 days ~= 12 weeks (3 months) of class then exams for the month of December and April.

For the purpose of your application, I would say to put the length of the academic year is 8 months.
