Academic probation in first year
Hi, I'm in the commerce program right now and failing stats. I'm doing ok in other classes but stats is really dropping my CA. What are the consequences that I'll go through? Academic probation? Will I get kicked out? I'm worried as hell. Please help me!! I took the class very lightly an ended up falling behind. Can you also explain what academic probation at Mac is? Thanks

Depending on what your overall CA is at the end of the year, you can end up in academic probation or not at all. Academic probation is when your CA is between 3.0 to 3.4 and you are able to remain in your current program. If you have less than 3.0, you will not be able to continue university. Refer to this link for program requirements for commerce: http://ug.degroote.mcmaster. ca/reg...-requirements/

What percentage does 3.0-3.4 equate to. I know 5.0 is a 63%. Thanks
