Who are MAPS?
We are the McMaster Association of Part-time Students. We represent part-time undergraduates, continuing education and clinical behavioral sciences students to the university administration and the university community. MAPS was created in response to the unique needs of part-time students, who are often juggling home, work, and school responsibilities.
Our focus is to try to make the McMaster part of their lives a little easier by providing support in navigating the university’s administrative procedures and online services, providing a lounge where our members can relax and study, access to computers, and printing, scanning and photocopier services charged on a cost-recovery basis. We also provide one-on-one assistance for part-time students by providing them with information on university procedures, training on the use of SOLAR and MUGSI, and advice on how to best approach situations involving the university.
