Math 1C03 as an Elective??
Hi

I am not a math&stats student but have taken basic first and second math+stats courses.
I am looking for an easy elective, if possible in math.

Since MATH 1C03 is a first year course, is it okay to assume it will be easier?
I am worried because from the course calender, I got the vibe that this course will be more of a theory and proof rather than actual number math.

The prof this year will be Harada. Should I take it??

Any thoughts or comments?? Anyone?

The course content itself is suuuuper beneficial, but the course itself my not be the easiest.
It's one of those courses that you'll have to put a lot of time into, but in the end get the most out of. This course will be heavy on proofs (because your foundation is learning about proofs).

Dr. Harada is super nice and super enthusiastic. If you go to her office hours, she'll do her best to help you with any question you ask (even in class too). Her tests are within the hard spectrum in terms of difficulty, so you can't slack off in this class...

That being said, I've never actually taken this course I'm just basing my opinion on reviews of some of my friends who took it last year and the course I'm taking right now, MATH 2R03.

There's a Math and Stats facebook group that you might want to check out if you want to ask some more questions,

You may want to consider Math 1B03 instead. If you took Grade 12 Calc & Vectors, a good chunk of it is review. Easy to do well in.

I already took Math 1B03. I am really not sure if I should take math 1C03 for the sake of learning more math theories or not take it to ease my average.
Did you take 1C03? How did you find it? also, how were the assignments & presentations?

Will this be a GPA dropper??? I am in my last year... and last term!!

sorry I asked so many questions
