Math 1LS3 HARDER this semester?
My friend and I was talking earlier today and he was telling me that math 1ls3 is pretty hard this term. (he's pretty smart btw) I told him maybe it is his teacher but he told me that the class materials are actually harder.
Is this actually possible? Math 1LS3 is considered to be an "easier" math course. I thought: same course=same difficulty regardless of which term you take the course. Otherwise, it would be unfair?

In my first year, I had this one course where they had a different prof in second term.
And while the first term people got something like an 80% average, basically everyone in second term had trouble (the highest mark in the first midterm was in the mid-70's or something).
Everyone in my faculty complained and I ended up getting a 12 in that course...
I'm pretty sure if everyone else in your class feels the same way and the material is actually that much harder you could complain >__>

Is Lovric still teaching this? I took it years ago and it was really easy. If its a different prof, then the course could be harder, depending on how the tests are made

Honestly, I don't really like math but the 2nd and 3rd midterm I found to be completely fair in the course. The first one was a little iffy, but we can drop it, definitely still a 12able course in my opinion.

I took this course with Efftimie and it turned out to be alright. For tutorials, I went to Lovric's session. I'm not sure how it is structured for the 2nd term so I couldn't tell you.

Lozinksi really likes application style questions, so some midterm questions have been tough. I wouldn't say it's too difficult, but most people found the first midterm to be unfair (although it was basically grade 9 math review >.>)

You took it last semester, not this semester.
Nice reading comprehension.

i have ls3 this semester and i personally think the problem with lozinski is that he cant word his word problems well..like they are so confusing and you overthink the questions and when you look at the solutions, you realise that the question was easier than you thought, you just got confused by the way he words his applications.

1st midterm was pretty hard, 2nd was okay-ish, 3rd was really easy (e.g. normal math 1ls3 level-basing this off past midterms in the courseware)

A lot of courses get harder second semester.
For example, first year bio 1M03, and 1A03 (arguably). Second term bio 1m03 was brutal, but first term was pretty straight-forward and easy.
I think this holds more so for first year courses, not because it gets 'harder' in second term but because it's easy as **** first term, because you're still "new to university". By second term they ramp it up because you're used to it and no longer have an excuse.
