Math 2Z03 and 2ZZ3
Hey guys,

I'm taking summer school for co3 and phy 1eo3 (bye bye summer). However, a quick search of Level II Eng courses showed that Math 2Z03 and 2ZZ3 are required for all Engineering streams.
I've heard a lot of negative things about them so I might as well get them over with in the summer? Right?
I know I won't have much free time but seeing as I was orginally planning on taking two extra electives just bc I can, I might as well do these Math courses?

has anyone taken these in the summer before? and WHAT makes it so bad :/

Ideas? Thoughts?

thanks

a. MATLAB
b. Midterms... Dr. Gabardo will make sure nobody gets 100% on it.

2ZZ3 is not required if you are in Computer Engineering.

Matlab might be a problem, if you can do it you should be good.
2Z03 is okay ... I guess...

The thing about math is , its so unpredictable. For sure gabardo is going to rape everyone on the midterm, you can spend so much time studying for it and STILL not know wtf he is asking for , OR not study anything and get lucky at guessing.

If you feel lucky, go for it. The material isnt too much harder but practice is key. The averages for midterms are usually very low.

Jeez, you guys are making this course sound impossible. I feel like taking it in the summer is going to ruin my entire break =D.

It is damn near impossible to pass that course without a bell. NEAR is the key word. The majority will likely fail this term, and then it'll go to the registrar/Eng office and they'll say "woah woah, wait a minute... This $#!+'s whack yo" and bump it all up.

So...on a scale of 1-10(1 being the same level of hardness as first year math)...how much harder are these two maths in comparison?! O.o

It's my understanding that three people do the matlab and then it spreads.

Take it in summer. If you don't, you will REGRET it. Remember my words, if you decide not to do them in Summer.
