It depends, I found 1z04 much harder than 1zz5, and neither of those compared to the 2z03/2zz3. The second years were much harder for me, mainly because I found that I could understand much less of what was going on. I still did quite well in both courses, as you can still do questions if you memorize the steps/various solutions. Just a lot harder in terms of concepts.

Great. Lets hope 'Nice guy' translates into 'Reasonable tests.'

So do the people who took the course in the summer find it helpful? I really don't want to do this with C03, but I kinda want to get it out of the way.

I wouldn't be too worried about those two math courses. There's no question that they are probably going to be the hardest courses for second year, at least for me they were, but they are still manageable. Just stay on top of the homework problems and what not. The concepts are not too bad to grasp until you get into 2zz3 towards the last few chapters where shit hits the fan but other than that's its alright lol.

IMO if your already taking one or even two courses over the summer than throw in these two to get them out of the way but there's not real need to otherwise. Enjoy your summer going to need it.

I ****ing hate you.

He was supposed to teach my year 2ZZ3, so I went to some of his first-year Stats lectures to check him out. Turned out to be an awesome guy, an effect enhanced tenfold when compared to Protas, who was teaching me 2Z03 at the time.

But then things went terribly, terribly wrong and he was replaced by someone who was even worse than Protas.

I'm still bitter.

Rumour has it that there will be 2 marking schemes - whichever results in a higher mark will be used.

1) Same marking scheme as before.

2) - Better midterm:20%
- Worse midterm will be scrapped
- MatLab: 15%
- Exam: 65%
