Course Evaluation:
Tests (15% each) ... 60 %
Final Exam ... 40 %

It doesn't say anything about the lowest of the 4 tests being dropped..

... Ask the prof?

I took it last year and the lowest graded test was dropped. Also, if you do better on the final exam than you do on the tests, the weight is shifted more towards the exam. This course is really geared to help you get a good mark

This is what Erin Clements posted on the Math 1LS3 Facebook page:

From the webpage:

Course Evaluation:
Tests (15% each) ... 60 %
Final Exam ... 40 %

The instructor reserves the right to change the weight of any portion of this marking scheme. For students in good academic standing, other weights might be considered. In either case, the final mark will be computed using this weighting and the new weighting(s). The highest score for a particular student will be her/his final mark.

At the end of the course the grades may be adjusted but this can only increase your grade and will be done uniformly. We will use the grade equivalence chart published in the Undergraduate Calendar to convert between percentages and letter grades.

In the past, the best 3 out of 4 tests were used to calculate 60% of the final mark... it is possible it will happen again, but it is not a given.
