McMaster Asian Federation of Charitable University Students (F.O.C.U.S.)
For those who don't know, Asian F.O.C.U.S. is one of the LARGEST Asian Charitable clubs on campus - and we are showing NO SIGNS of SLOWING DOWN. We've had A WHOPPING 300 people pass by our tables at ClubsFest and put their name down onto our mailing list.

The Asian Federation of Charitable University Students (FOCUS) is an award-winning, non-profitable, inter-university organization (MAC, YORK, UofT, WATERLOO, GUELPH, QUEEN'S, UWO) that is representative of Asian student communities across Southern Ontario. Asian FOCUS exists to encourage charitable contributions from students and the Asian community at large through social and volunteering events. We believe our initiatives enable students to actively participate in and contribute to their community. We hope to create an awareness of those who are less fortunate than ourselves and provide the opportunity for students to join together and play an active role in helping them. Asian F.O.C.U.S. is not only a dominant charitable force amongst the Asian clubs - but ALL clubs at MAC. From 2009-2010, we are appointed the MOST CHARITABLE CLUB OF THE YEAR - receiving the J. Lynn Watson Award from the MSU.

Our #1 goal is ALWAYS charitable work - whether it is getting out there and volunteering or raising money. Last year, through successful events such as FRESH MEET, PARA-NOIR, and Canadian Cancer Society presents: CHARITY FAIR, we raised over $2000 to the Canadian Cancer Society. During the year, there are MANY opportunities for members to lend a hand through these events OR through exclusive volunteer opportunities like at RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE (2 mins from campus). In addition to the charitable work, we acknowledge the social aspects of our club by offering HIGHLY ANTICIPATED social events (of course, all for charity) like the upcoming SEDUCTION ( [ ] 94723418&ref=ts) - our THIRTEENTH year and running - every year we've had OVER 500 people attending - will you be one of them this year?

Everyone has a different reason for joining Asian F.O.C.U.S., here are some reason why we joined:
- Gain access to exclusive volunteer opportunities across Hamilton
- Develop leadership qualities through the offered volunteer opportunities (1st year REP position AVAILABLE!)
- Connect with other members through volunteering and large social events
- Receive discounts at selected Hamilton restaurants upon presenting your card (5% off at GO TEMPURA, 10% at D's Bubble Tea - AND MORE TO COME!)
- Receive discounts for Asian F.O.C.U.S. events ($2 at EVERY event!)

For more INFORMATION, come to our GENERAL meeting at 1280 starting at 5:00pm (!

Membership packages available at General Meeting - if you haven't signed up. See you all there.
