Wilfrid Laurier University Students Union (WLUSU) Challenges MSU
The McMaster Students Union was recently contacted by the President of the Wilfrid Laurier University Students Union, Kyle Walker. During the exchange, Mr. Walker made it clear that he believed the Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks would defeat the McMaster Marauders during the Welcome Week football game. He bet the MSU that the Golden Hawks will win on Monday, September 6th.
The losing Students Union will have to wear the opposing side’s jersey for a day, with photos of the event being posted on the MSU and WLUSU websites.
This is a call to action for all McMaster students. The Marauders have not beat Laurier since 2003 and this is the year to defeat them! The game begins at 1:00pm at Ron Joyce Stadium on Monday, September 6th.

The golden hawks are already a pretty strong team and they got a lot of the more talented players from the Waterloo team that had their season canceled because of the steroid scandal. With that said, I hope we thoroughly crush them =]

And yes that is the school we had the pranks with last year

McMaster hasn't beaten Laurier since 2003 if I'm not wrong. On paper they are a stronger team, but what we do have is the one of best crowds of the year aka Welcome Week Reps & Frosh will get in apart from the regular supporters. Upsets are part of the game, who knows?

I love this rivalry! "Our beak is bigger" was so much fun last year! I assume we buy tickets for the game at Compass, right? $10 each?

Yep, tickets aren't for sale yet though, not even for the August 31st game. https://www.msumcmaster.ca/servicesa...passevents.htm
Edit: There's also this: http://www.athrec.mcmaster.c a/athl...kets/index.htm
