There is, indeed, only one scantron machine and one guy (his name is Dave) responsible for operating it.

i didnt think waiting a week for marks was so bad lol..i got all my marks by xmas eve..not bad in my opinion..all hail dave lol..

I took a second year Anthro class which was made up of 5 scantron tests worth 20% each. It took AT LEAST 2 weeks to get each tests' mark back. The prof had told us "I sent the scantrons to the scantron people. It is really busy this time of year [he said that for every test]. The scantron operator got sick, so no one was scanning them"
I don't know what this means. But it did take a hell of a long time to get the marks back. Generally I don't care about using scantron, but I HATE when an entire class grade is made up of scantron tests and the prof says it's because "you will get your marks back faster" - which was a lie in this case.
