Doesn't seem like a big deal. Secretaries don't teach us any classes like profs; so the show must go on. If anything, that means we might be able to pay later

No kidding.

I'm getting tired of these strikes honestly. I just hope this doesn't have a huge impact.

I'd like to see them strike in this economy. Do they all plan to default on their mortgages?

I remember when I was trying to decide between York and Mac and UTM (looking at universities close to home) and read up about it, I heard students express that this strike ruined the school's credibility to a certain extent because it's going to reflect badly on these kids when they graduate and look for jobs.
I understand that to an extent but I think as long as we have our TA's we're alright.
(and our professors). Academically at least.
As of the 23rd of July, I'd read in the Hamilton Spectator that neither party really expected a strike but it could be possible. They declared that there was no cause for alarm right now at least

Let's hope McMaster is less ruthless and will prevent any sort of striking action. The good thing about the York strike (and this is stretching, and terrible for York students of course) is that all future strikes will somehow be deterred using it as a comparison point.

I did a survey online where they asked me if my decision to not choose York was because of the strike and how that impacted my perception of the university. That strike has made quite a stir.
