Meal Plan
Hey! I'm confused about which meal plan to choose.
If the money on my meal plan runs out during the year, can i add more to it?

When in doubt about which to choose, I would go more towards the smaller side. As said above you can add more however you do not get a refund for extra left on the basic meal plan at the end of the year. Alot of people end up buying stuff to take home at the end of the year to use up the extra left on their mealcard.

Yeah, I'd recommend the smallest one, its what I did I had more than enough for the year.
However, it depends on how much you eat and how often your going to go home. If you are in sports or something or just like your food go for a bigger plan so you don't have to worry about filling it up.

well it depends where u plan on living...
if ur going to be in apartment/suite than id suggest the smallest of that class ( or the second smallest depending on if u plan on cooking much or not)
if your in traditional id suggest medium, any smaller than that then u might run out
also consider ur eating style, do u eat a lot or not that much? do u eat more of a dinner or more of a lunch, if more dinner than itll be mroe costly, lunch is generally cheaper

All meal plans contain the same "basic" value of around $1750. The additional value comes from the fact that some meal plans have more "freedom" money that you can use to buy dinner off campus, as well as other products.

I'm surprised by how many people are saying to get the smallest meal plan.. In first year I had the medium meal plan, I ran out a month and a half before the end of the year, I put $300 back on it and I still ran out for the last few weeks of the year.
But then again, I never went home and bought a lot of drinks <_<

Or you must require a lot of food, looooool.
I'll probably end up going with the smallest and add more to my meal plan appropriately. I'll be going home on the weekends and stuff so yeah. ;o

i would recommend getting the smallest and adding more simply because if u dont spend it all u cant carry it over. also, most of the expensive food at commons is actually really bad
