My CA told me last year that the $40 was taken off for "assumed stolen goods"...which yes, is a huge ripoff.

Which makes people leave with paper bags full of plastic cutlery anyway. I mean, you technically paid for it.

Honestly. Like that $40 actually does anything. It just makes us pay more.

So just to clarify, there is no possible way for us to receive the remaining amount (if there is any) on the meal plan at the end of the school year?

As its going right now, it looks like the hottest waitress at boston pizza will get a $400 tip in April.

At the end of April, the money left on your basic account will be gone. The remaining money on your flex account however will still be there next year.

Commons tends to sell items in bulk at the end of the year which a lot of students will use to get rid of the rest of the money on their basic account.

So just to make it completely crystal clear...
Since you use your Flex account at BP, you're more than welcome to give the waitress a $400 tip (I'm sure she'd appreciate it!)...but you wouldn't lose that money if you left it in your account.

Yes that would be correct. If you like you can tip the hottest waitress at BP $400 at the end of the year but you don't have to, any money not in your BASIC account will carry over.

Also I believe that portions other than BASIC can also be refunded to you.

Can we use freedom/flex accounts during the summer offcampus?
