I basically assume anywhere that isn't locked is open for exploring (except faculty offices). The worst they can do is ask you to leave. If it doesn't say "So-and-so students only", I would go in.

Me too! Sometimes its intimidating to walk around a silent area, lol, and not see anyone. But awesome.

the 5th floor is the new home for the Centre for Teaching and Learning and the new space for the offices of the liaison librarians. It also has a teaching commons room located there. You may find yourself up there someday
