do we have a minimum course load requirement for the fall/winter term? i just need one more course to graduate and given that I don't need OSAP. Can I just take one course for the term?

Thanks

Yeah, you're allowed to take however many courses as you want, and you're still given priority for mandatory courses that you need to fulfill your program requirements since you're not a graduate yet.

To be a full-time student under the MSU stuff (health insurance, bus pass, etc) you have to have 9 units but otherwise you can take the 1.
Or you could take a spring/summer course if its just an elective or your course is offered that you need

To be a full-time student under the MSU, you need 18 units over the entire fall/winter session. This doesn't have to be 9 + 9, it can be split however you want.

For McMaster to consider you full-time, you need 24 units over the entire fall/winter session.

MAPS (the part-time equivalent of MSU) takes anyone registered in 1-17 units, so 1 unit seems to be the minimum

However, according to this, students can transfer from MAPS to MSU if they are "Registered in a fall/winter academic session in fewer than 18 units to complete his/her degree prior to the next convocation and was a member of the MSU in a previous fall/winter academic session."

That seems to apply to the OP, so if they need the benefits (bus pass, insurance, etc), they could still get them.
