minimum 30 units to second year?
i recently dropped one 3 unit course and not sure if i can move on to second year with only 27 units of credit. Does anyone know the situation here? do i really have to take summer school?

I'm not sure about other programs, but in Social Sciences and Humanities, you can move to level 2 with 24 units. You have to make up for the missing units at some point before graduation (whether you overload one term or take a summer course at some point), but you're fine to get into level 2 with the exception of the Social Work program.

do you know if its the same thing for kinesiology students ? im in first year kin and only have 27 units, can i still go onto honors year 2 kin with 27 units ? thanks

not sure about ur program's policies. however im in commerce and we need a 5.0 to get into 2nd yr commerce. they will look at 24 units minimum and see if you're good, atm i've completed 27 and gonna take some in summer. however you need 24 units to be full-time student so i assume you're good to move onto 2nd yr in ur program.
